Joya Misra is Professor of Sociology and Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts. Her research primarily focuses on inequality, from the perspective of political economy & political sociology, comparative welfare states, and the intersection of race/gender/class in labor markets and social policy. Her work has appeared in the American Sociological Review, American Journal of Sociology, Gender & Society, Social Problems, and numerous other professional journals and edited volumes.
