The Byron Hanke Fellowship
For Graduate Research on Community Associations
The Foundation for Community Association Research offers an annual Fellowship available to graduate students working on topics related to community associations. Community associations govern common-interest communities of any kind – condominiums, cooperatives, townhouse developments, planned unit developments and other developments where homeowners support an association with mandatory financial assessments, and are subject to use and aesthetic restrictions. The Fellowship amount ranges from $2,000 to $4,000.

Soros Fellowship for New Americans
Fellowships are awarded for resident aliens, naturalized U.S. citizens, or the child of two parents who are both naturalized citizens. These fellowships provide up to two years of graduate study in the United States , and are chosen on a national competitive basis. Thirty fellowships are awarded each year.

Institute for International Public Policy Fellowship Program
The United Negro College Fund offers an annual Fellowship to an undergraduate or graduate student who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and is studying in one of the following fields: international studies or public policy. University endorsement is required.

Public Employee Retirement Research and Administration Scholarship
Yearly scholarship offered by the Government Finance Officers Association to a full or part-time student in a Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or Social Sciences graduate program. Applicants should have the intent to pursue a career in state or local government with a focus on public-sector retirement benefits. The scholarship amount is $4,000.

George A. Nielson Public Investor Scholarship

Yearly scholarship offered by the Government Finance Officers Association to an employee of a local government or other public entity who is enrolled or plans to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program in public administration, finance, business administration, or related field. The purpose of the scholarship is to support the studies of graduate students with career interests in the efficient and productive investment of public funds. Candidates must be employed at least one year by a state or local government or other public entity in order to be eligible. The award ranges from $2,500 to $5,000.

Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship
Annual scholarship offered by the Government Finance Officers Association to a graduate student of public administration, accounting, finance, political science, economics, or business administration. The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize outstanding performance by minority students preparing for careers in state and local government finance. The scholarship amount is $5,000.

National Hispanic Scholarship Fund

Award offered to Hispanic American students by the National Hispanic Scholarship Fund. Eligible applicants must be full-time graduate students at an accredited U.S. college or university. The scholarship ranges from $500 to $1,000.

Thomas R. Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship

The fellowship program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation and seeks applicants that reflect the diversity and excellence of the United States and can represent America in world affairs. Fellowships are offered to U.S. Citizens seeking admission to graduate school for the following academic year. Winners are expected to enroll in a two-year full-time master's degree program in public policy, international affairs, or public administration. Successful candidates are obligated to a minimum of three years of service in an appointment as a Foreign Service Officer.
