Resources: Career

The MPPA program strives to provide tools and resources necessary to transform the skills and knowledge gained in the graduate program into successful careers in public service.

CPPA resources include experiential internships, professional development coursework, mentorship and introductions, networking (both as a skill and an activity), and job search training.

CPPA Professional Development Series
Each year CPPA offers a series of skill development workshops and career panels that give students the opportunity to meet and network with CPPA alumni and other professionals from the public, private and nonprofit sectors. In addition, CPPA holds sessions on resume and cover letter writing, interviewing, internships, and other important career development skills.

CPPA Alumni
CPPA Alumni are a valuable resource for current students. Review the Alumni Directory to find out where former students are working. It may be possible to set up a informational interview with alumni who have careers in your field of interest. Alumni also have access to Maroon Central and the UMass Alumni Career Connections page.
